Emotional Babies

I can no longer maturely handle the number of emotionally-crippled grown men who cross my path these days.

I mean what is up with that?
Has the traditional definition of manliness changed? I’m not saying that men can’t be emotional. I mean a man who can’t say how he feels or communicate his thoughts and emotions...I just can’t deal.

The War on Principles

I have noticed for some time that television is waging war on marriage and Christianity while celebrating strippers.

I know that statement is a bit “out there” but don’t you see it?

I also think that the strategy to desensitize viewers is very effective.

For example, the first time I saw two men kiss or show affection on TV, I was stunned for several minutes. Over time, I’ve come to accept it and even anticipate it depending on the message of the show. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still stunned...just less.

The Strongest Among Us

“Sometimes the strongest among us are the ones who smile through silent pain, cry behind closed doors and fight battles nobody knows about.”
-Unknown
Something about that statement and others like it speak so much to me.  Think of a person whom you consider strong and then try to imagine what their struggles might be, their fears, their weaknesses, their strongest desires.

You Belong To Us

I found myself being entirely so surprised just about four months ago when my eyes were opened to something that may have existed forever but I had never noticed before.

Colour me inattentive but the idea of overseas-based Dominicans demonstrating apathy to things relating to their homeland blows my mind.
